The Dallas Mavericks point guard Dennis Smith Jr. will rejoin the Mavs on Tuesday and play against the Los Angeles Clippers at home.

“I am excited to announce Dennis Smith Jr. will rejoin the team on Tuesday. Dennis and I spoke at length today. He is feeling better and plans to resume workouts in preparation for his return. There will be no further updates until Tuesday,” head coach Rick Carlisle said, per ESPN.

The 21-year-old player has missed the last five Dallas’ games due to health issues.

This season, Dennis Smith Jr. is averaging 12.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists, while shooting at 44.3 percent from the field in 27.7 minutes of action.
