Khimki point guard Stefan Markovic spoke with TalkBasket.net about the team’s performance and the upcoming games.

Here is what the Serbian player said:

On the loss to Olympiacos on Thursday (71-57): “They started good in the first half, we came back, but then we didn’t exist.

We struggled offensively, we missed many shots, while we gave them easy opportunities to score on the other end of the floor. You cannot play like this in their home court.”

On the upcoming games and the team’s ability to maintain a playoff push: “That’s the goal, we are fighting towards this goal, we have to beat Bayern Munich at home next week (24/01) and go step by step.”

On the return of Anthony Gill and Alexey Shved and whether it will help the team: “For sure, Anthony is not 100% well, but that’s life, that’s basketball. We have to stop crying and keep fighting, to play with the guys that are in the roster.”

On Olympiacos: “They have a very good team, but honestly I don’t look so much on what other teams do. I am focusing on my team and how to help the club achieve its goals.”
