While the majority of Crvena Zvezda fans welcomed new signing Alen Omic during their historic EuroLeague victory over Olympiacos on Friday, some were not so supportive.

Omic, who joined the Serbian powerhouses from Hapoel Jerusalem, scored six points, grabbed six rebounds in 15 minutes during his EuroLeague return.

But the Bosnian-born, Slovenian international was not well received by the loyal Crvena Zvezda Ultras.

“Cefurs, (Bosnian) Muslims and Croats are not our brothers.” was written on the fans’ banner which was showcased throughout.

“Cefurs” is a derogatory term used for Slovenians, as told by Eurohoops, Bosnians and Albanians and the part about “(Bosnian) Muslims” was a reference to Omic who has publically stated that he is an atheist.
