France coach Vincent Collet has named his squad for the FIBA World Cup quaifiers, with nine of those being EuroLeague players.

However, French media outlet ‘BasketEurope’ reports that thos nine players are unlikely to suit up for the French when their camapign begins on November 24 when they face Belgium in Antwerp.

15-man France squad for the qualifiers:

• Andrew Albicy
• Fabien Causeur (EuroLeague)
• Nando De Colo (EuroLeague)
• Boris Diaw
• Antoine Diot (EuroLeague)
• Moustapha Fall
• Thomas Heurtel (EuroLeague)
• Edwin Jackson
• Charles Kahudi
• Louis Labeyrie
• Adrien Moerman (EuroLeague)
• Vincent Poirier (EuroLeague)
• Kevin Séraphin (EuroLeague)
• Axel Toupane (EuroLeague)
• Leo Westermann (EuroLeague)

If all nine EuroLeague stars decided not to represent the French in two weeks, it will leave Collet with a mass scramble to find players at the last minute in order to have a full squad of players by the time they travel to Belgium.

After returning home to France following 14 seasons in the NBA, Boris Diaw will be available for selection, as will Edwin Jackson, who is currently playing in China.
