Khimki announced that forward Anthony Gill will be out for up to a month, due to abdominal surgery.

The 25-year-old American was hospitalized with pain in the abdomen on Sunday evening. After diagnosis, a decision was made for Gill to have surgery.

The operation went well but Gill will have to stay in the hospital for a few days. He will miss Khimki’s games against Panathinaikos and Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv with further games against champions Fenerbahce and Brose Bamberg also seeing Gill absent.

Gill has started all six of Khimki’s encounters this season in the EuroLeague, averaging 9.7 points a game.
