Atlanta Hawks will be the first team in the NBA to have their own courtside bar when the renovation of the Phillips Arena is complete.
It’s certainly unusual for a bar to be staged so close to the court. It could provide fans with issues such as people in the higher tier of the first rows looking to get a better view to the supporters that are sat courtside.
But in terms of innervation, this is a revolutionary idea that could see several NBA teams following suit if it runs smoothly. High profile matchups might see potential problems.
The renovation of the Phillips Arena will also see a barber shop and golf simulators.
It’ll be a fun game night experience in Atlanta.
