One of the best newcomers to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague last season has switched to a perennial Final Four participant as CSKA Moscow on Tuesday announced the arrival of forward Will Clyburn as the first new player on its roster.
Clyburn (2.01 meters, 27 years old) inked a two-deal with the Russian powerhouse. He arrives from Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul, where he averaged 13 points and 5.1 rebounds in 34 EuroLeague games last season, scoring 20 points or more eight times. He ranked 10th in scoring and led Darussafaka to the EuroLeague playoffs, all in his first season in the competition.
Clyburn started his professional career with ratiopharm Ulm of Germany and also played for Hapoel Holon, leading the 2015-16 Israeli League in scoring (20.9 ppg.).
“I am excited to become a part of this organization.” Clyburn said. “It has always been one of the top European teams year in and year out. It is a big honor and a big privilege to join this team.”
