Golden State Warriors big man Kristaps Porzingis, who has been sidelined for the past five games due to illness, is accompanying the Warriors on their current three-game road trip, Anthony Slater of ESPN reports.

However, he has already been ruled out for Thursday’s matchup in Houston.

Golden State will also be missing Moses Moody, who suffered a right wrist sprain on Monday, as well as Will Richard, who is dealing with an ankle sprain.

Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area notes that bringing Porzingis back long term would be a risky move if he can’t demonstrate that he can remain healthy.

Still, his $30.7MM expiring contract could give the Warriors valuable financial flexibility heading into the offseason.

Poole adds that while the team hoped to receive value in return when moving Jonathan Kuminga and Buddy Hield, the full benefits of that deal may depend on offseason maneuvering.
