Washington Wizards head coach Brian Keefe spoke highly of two-way rookie Jamir Watkins’ career-night following Friday’s 130-126 home loss vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers (15 points/8 rebounds/1 assist/2 blocks/6-7 FG/3-4 3-PT/29 minutes off the bench).

“He’s been improving each game steadily. He just does a lot of winning stuff. Obviously, the shotmaking was great tonight, but that’s not what we’re concerned about with him. We want to see him defending these type of elite players, some great lessons for him on how to guard some of these guys. But his activity, the things that he does on the court — he just does winning things. Really good player.”
