The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Indiana Pacers 133-104 at Frost Bank Center on Friday night. San Antonio improved to 5-0 in preseason while Indiana fell to 2-2.

San Antonio opened with a 39-28 lead after the first quarter. Stephon Castle scored six points with five assists in the frame.

Indiana responded in the second with a 35-27 edge. The Spurs held a 66-63 advantage at halftime after Julian Champagnie’s three-pointer.

San Antonio pulled away in the third, outscoring Indiana 35-25. Victor Wembanyama added seven points with three blocks.

The fourth quarter saw the Spurs extend the margin to 32-16. Bismack Biyomel grabbed six rebounds off the bench.

Wembanyama led San Antonio with 17 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocks in 24 minutes. Castle finished with 16 points and nine assists.

Champagnie scored 15 points on five-of-six shooting from three. Keldon Johnson added 12 points.

For Indiana, Julian Strawther topped the scoring with 14 points on five-of-eight shooting. Andrew Nembhard had 10 points and five assists.

Bennedict Mathurin added 11 points. Isaiah Jackson grabbed two rebounds in 15 minutes.

San Antonio shot 54.0 percent from the field. The Spurs held a 60-46 edge in paint points.

Indiana committed 19 turnovers leading to 20 points for San Antonio. The Pacers made 12 threes at 27.3 percent.
