The Golden State Warriors are currently operating with just nine players under standard contracts, as their ongoing deadlock with Jonathan Kuminga continues to delay additional roster moves this offseason.

The unresolved nature of Kuminga’s restricted free agency is effectively putting the rest of their plans on pause.

There’s been speculation that veterans like Al Horford, De’Anthony Melton, and Gary Payton II may only be brought in once Kuminga’s situation is finalized, possibly due to cap or roster flexibility concerns.

However, per NBA insider Jake Fischer, the Warriors are still keeping tabs on other free agents. Malcolm Brogdon and Seth Curry are reportedly still on the team’s radar as potential signings, with Javonte Green also emerging as a name of interest.

In short, Golden State appears to be in a holding pattern, waiting for the Kuminga situation to resolve before pulling the trigger on key depth additions.
