Following a 2024/25 campaign spent under a two-way contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, free agent guard Jeff Dowtin is attracting attention from several European basketball clubs.
According to Dario Skerletic of Sportando, who references a report from Tomer Givati of Israel Hayom, multiple teams across Europe have expressed interest in acquiring Dowtin’s services.
The discussions reportedly involve some of the continent’s most prominent clubs, including Maccabi Tel Aviv, Partizan Belgrade, and Fenerbahce.
Among these contenders, Maccabi Tel Aviv appears to be the frontrunner and is widely viewed as the leading candidate to secure Dowtin’s signature at this stage.
At 28 years old, Jeff Dowtin brings with him four years of experience in the NBA, having suited up for five different franchises since his league debut in 2021.
The most productive stretch of his career came during the 2024/25 season, where he averaged 7.0 points, 1.9 assists, and 1.5 rebounds over 15.1 minutes per game in 41 appearances.
His efficiency was noteworthy as well, with shooting splits of 48.7% from the field, 40.0% from beyond the arc, and 73.3% from the free-throw line.
With his two-way contract eligibility now expired, Dowtin faces limited options for securing a guaranteed spot on an NBA roster for the upcoming season.
As a result, transitioning to a competitive European league could represent a more promising and stable opportunity for continuing his professional basketball career.
