Maccabi Tel Aviv has officially secured Canadian forward and 2024 NBA champion Oshae Brissett on a two-year contract, the club announced Tuesday. The move brings the 27-year-old to the EuroLeague for the first time in his career.
Brissett arrives in Israel after six seasons in the NBA, where he most recently played for the Philadelphia 76ers and the Long Island Nets in the G League. His NBA journey included stops with the Toronto Raptors, Indiana Pacers, and Boston Celtics, with whom he won a championship in 2024.
The 2.01-meter forward made his NBA debut in 2019 after going undrafted out of Syracuse University. He appeared in 233 NBA regular-season games, averaging 6.6 points and 3.9 rebounds per contest over his career.
During the 2024 playoffs, Brissett contributed to the Celtics’ title run, playing in 10 games, including three in the Finals against the Dallas Mavericks.
Brissett’s most productive NBA season came with Indiana in 2020–21, when he posted career highs of 10.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks per game. He also demonstrated consistency in the G League, averaging double figures in scoring during multiple stints.
Maccabi, which finished 16th in last season’s EuroLeague standings at 11–23, adds a player with championship experience as it looks to rebound from a disappointing campaign.
