Denver Nuggets superstar center Nikola Jokic is reportedly set to announce his commitment to play for the Serbian national team in this summer’s EuroBasket tournament, according to Dorde Matic of Meridian Sport.

Jokic, widely regarded as one of the best players in the world, is expected to rejoin a familiar and successful core of teammates – the same group that helped Serbia capture the bronze medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

That contingent is anticipated to be available once again when EuroBasket 2025 begins in late August, Matic adds.

Jokic’s international résumé already includes a notable achievement: a silver medal from the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, as highlighted by Kevin Martorano of Sportando.

His potential return to the national squad adds further excitement and strength to Serbia’s title hopes at the upcoming European championship.
