EA7 Emporio Armani Milan has signed forward Freddie Gillespie to address a key roster void caused by the injury to star big man Josh Nebo.
The 27-year-old brings a wealth of EuroLeague experience and defensive prowess to the Italian powerhouse.
Gillespie has played two seasons in the EuroLeague, representing FC Bayern Munich and Crvena Zvezda Belgrade.
Over 62 EuroLeague appearances, including 29 starts, he averaged 3.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
This season, Gillespie has competed in New Zealand, where he showcased his defensive skills with averages of 6.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks over nine games.
The Minnesota native has had a diverse basketball journey, starting with Carleton College before transferring to Baylor University.
After a standout college career, Gillespie transitioned to the professional ranks, making his NBA debut with the Toronto Raptors. He later played for the Orlando Magic and spent time in the G League with the Memphis Hustle.
