EA7 Emporio Armani Milan returned to Allianz Cloud for the first time since 2019 and secured a hard-fought 89–82 win over Real Madrid on Tuesday. Marko Guduric led the charge in his second game back from injury, contributing 22 points, five rebounds, and three assists in just under 20 minutes.
Milan head coach Peppe Poeta extended his perfect EuroLeague record with Guduric in the lineup to 3–0 since becoming full-time coach, improving Milan’s overall season record to 9-7. The guard’s performance was complemented by Shavon Shields, who added 10 points and tied Guduric with three assists.
Real Madrid kept the game close through three quarters, with Facundo Campazzo scoring 25 points, while Trey Lyles and Mario Hezonja added 14 and 11, respectively. Milan trailed 73-60 late in the third quarter but responded with a balanced attack and timely baskets from Guduric to reclaim the lead.
Lorenzo Brown, making his fourth appearance of the season, chipped in eight points, two assists, and one steal in just over 12 minutes, providing valuable depth for Milan.
Milan shot 51.9% from three-point range and 86.4% from the free-throw line, with 29 assists on the night, highlighting excellent ball movement and team cohesion. The hosts limited turnovers to 11 while keeping Real Madrid under pressure defensively throughout the fourth quarter.
The win sets up Milan for another home clash in the EuroLeague double-round week, facing Fenerbahce on Thursday, while Real Madrid will aim to bounce back against Paris Basketball in Madrid on the same day.
