Former Sacramento Kings star DeMarcus Cousins thought going against a defensive-minded big like Samuel Dalembert every day in practice helped him gain confidence during his rookie season.

(via Club 520 Podcast):

“I had a really good defensive big my rookie year in Samuel Dalembert. He was older, but he was really good defensively, he was smart. Playing against him every day like, ‘If I can fry him, don’t nobody else really got a chance.’ Obviously it was guys that were better defensively, but for him to be my test every single day for a full season, that was great target practice for me.”
