The New York Knicks recognize the need to add another center to their roster. With the talented but often-injured Mitchell Robinson as their starter and Jericho Sims more suited as a third center, the Knicks are searching for a backup who can also start when needed.

They have stayed in contact with free agent Precious Achiuwa about the role. In 49 games (18 starts) after joining the Toronto Raptors in the OG Anunoby trade, Achiuwa averaged 7.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 24.2 minutes per game.

At 6-foot-8, Achiuwa is undersized for a traditional center, but his strength and athleticism enable him to compete against bigger players.
