Vince Carter and Chauncey Billups have been selected for induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame’s Class of 2024.
Lakers legend and Hall of Famer Magic Johnson took to X to express his congratulations to both Carter and Billups.
In a tweet, Johnson hailed Carter’s unstoppable prowess on the court, dubbing him “Vinsanity” and showcasing appreciation for his breathtaking dunks that mesmerized fans worldwide.
“Congratulations to Vince Carter, aka Vinsanity, for being elected into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame! Vince is one of the most unstoppable players that’s ever played the game, with dunks in a class of their own! I had to post a few so y’all could see for yourselves!” the five-time NBA champion tweeted.
Additionally, Johnson extended his congratulations to Billups, highlighting his impact on the state of Michigan and acknowledging his pivotal role in leading the Pistons to an NBA Championship in 2004, despite the heartbreak it caused for Lakers fans.

I’m especially happy for you because of what you did for the state of Michigan, leading the Pistons to a NBA Championship in 2004 (even though you broke my heart by doing it against my Lakers)!” Johnson added in another tweet.
