Former NBA star Dwight Howard, 38, addressed recent reports of his purported signing with the Mets de Guaynabo in Puerto Rico.
Howard took to X to set the record straight about the rumors, expressing his affection for Puerto Rico while urging media outlets to verify information with him directly before publication to avoid misleading reports.
“I love Puerto Rico and the fans đľđˇ I just wanted to clarify to the media because multiple platforms reported that I signed already before first confirming with me. The misleading news has to stop. Until then Iâm still keeping the BSN at heart â¤ď¸ #boricua,” Howard tweeted.
After departing the NBA in 2022, Howard embarked on a global basketball journey, including stints with the Taoyuan Leopards in Taiwan and the Strong Group in the Philippines.
