The Memphis Grizzlies have made a roster move, waiving veteran center Bismack Biyombo, as reported by ESPN’s NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

Biyombo, who made a positive impact during his time with the franchise, may have the opportunity to return in the future. Wojnarowski revealed the team’s intention to open up a roster spot, with Memphis expected to explore the addition of another big player through a newly available two-way contract.

Biyombo, aged 31, played a significant role for the Grizzlies in the current season, starting in 27 out of 30 games. During his time on the court, Biyombo contributed an average of 5.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 23.9 minutes per game.

Despite the decision to waive him, the Grizzlies acknowledge his positive impact, leaving the door open for a potential return.
