Markieff Morris, a member of the 2020 championship-winning Lakers team, sheds light on the team’s commitment to succeed in the NBA bubble, driven by the tragic loss of Kobe Bryant.

“The sh*t that happened with Kobe [Bryant] was like we got to get it done for him,” Morris said in a recent interview on All The Smoke podcast, via ClutchPoints.

He revealed that the Lakers were one of the teams advocating strongly for the bubble, recognizing that it provided them with the best opportunity to secure victory.

“We (Lakers) were one of the teams that was pushing more for the bubble because we knew we had the best chance of winning,” he said.
