Zion Williamson, the No. 1 pick whose NBA career has been marred by injuries, is making significant changes to improve his health and performance.
After a season-long absence due to a Jones fracture in his right foot, the 23-year-old power forward played only 29 games last year. Now, it appears Williamson is taking a different approach this offseason.
Pelicans Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations, David Griffin, provided insights into Williamson’s offseason dedication.
“I can tell you Zion Williamson has been in our gym more than he has in his entire career in the offseason. He has been in New Orleans virtually all offseason, which is different,” he said, per Christian Clark of New Orleans Times-Picayune.
