Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend at a Manhattan hotel near Times Square. She suffered a broken bone and bruises, and the incident unfolded after Porter Jr. was locked out of their room following a night out.

Hotel security and police were involved, resulting in Porter Jr. facing charges of second-degree assault and strangulation. The NBA player’s legal representation is not yet known, and the Rockets have not responded to inquiries.

Porter Jr., a former first-round draft pick, has a history of disciplinary issues, including a previous arrest in 2020 on gun and marijuana charges, which were later dropped.
