Italian tactician Ettore Messina won his second Aleksander Gomelskiy Coach of the Year Trophy. Head coach of CSKA Moscow led the Russian giants to their second Euroleague title in three years under Messina. It is the first time that the coach won Coach of the Year award twice.
CSKA Moscow also won Russian Superleague beating Khimki in the finals.
