LeBron James helped the Lakers earn a commanding 3-1 lead in the first round series against the Grizzlies by scoring 22 points and grabbing 20 rebounds in Game 4 (117-111).
It was the first time for the 38-year-old superstar to have a double-double of at least 20 points and 20 rebounds. James was asked after the game if he ever surprises himself.
“Yup,” the four-time NBA champion said. LeBron was then asked if he surprised himself in Game 4.
“When my teammates told me I had 20 and 20, I had no idea that I had 20 and 20,” he said. “This is the first time I’ve done it in my career. I’ve done some pretty good cool things in my career, I’ve never had a 20 and 20 before. That was pretty cool, I guess.”
