The Lakers finished seventh in the Western Conference and will face the Timberwolves in the play-in tournament.

The winner of this game will play against the Grizzlies in the first round series of the playoffs.

Meanwhile the loser will get a second chance to clinch a playoff spot against the winner of the Pelicans – Thunder pair.

Lakers legend James Worthy thinks that Minnesota is a dangerous team but he likes the chances of the Purple and Gold.

“It is what it is,” Worthy said on Spectrum SportsNet. “Prior to the show I was like ‘Man, Timberwolves with Gobert and Towns, and Edwards and the additions they made could be scary.’

“But hey, this is what it is. I like our chances at home on Tuesday for win to avoid that second game.”
