The Lakers closed the regular season with the win over the Jazz (128-117). It was the 9th win in 11 games for Los Angeles.

With 43 wins and 39 losses, the Purple and Gold finished seventh in the Western Conference and will face the Timberwolves in the play-in tournament.

Lakers head coach Darvin Ham shared his reaction to his team finishing seventh. He gave the interview not knowing who Los Angeles will face in the play-in tournament.

“It’s great, man,” Ham said. “Regardless of who wins, we will prepare accordingly. Probably going to a little bit more detail. Maybe not quite as extensive as a playoff series scout, but definitely a regular season scout on steroids.

“We’re just looking forward to the opportunity starting where we started earlier in the year, now where we are, where we find ourselves sitting. We’re excited, guys are ready to go. We got great synergy in our locker room. Need to clean up some stuff defensively. But outside of that, we’re ready to go.”
