Cameron Carr: I want my number retired in between Jerry West and James Worthy

Here’s Los Angeles Lakers rookie Cameron Carr on three personal goals as he enters the NBA (selected 24th overall by the New York Knicks before being traded to LA).

“So first goal we have, meet teammates, cuz that was gon’ be my goal regardless. Second goal, win a championship. I know we skipped a lot of steps, but I feel like you sometimes have to shoot far and then meet little stepping stones along the way, but I want to win a championship. Third thing, I know 44 (Jerry West) is retired and I know 42 (James Worthy) is retired — I feel like I have to retire 43 just to close the gap.”
