The Dallas Mavericks used some double-drag screens and a few off-ball screening actions with the bench unit while Kyrie Irving led the offense.
The Mavs guard Tim Hardaway Jr. was asked about double-drag plays with Irving, plus having big man Christian Wood as one of the screeners:
“It’s great because C Wood, he can either roll or pop, and we both can’t shoot the ball. When he’s rolling, I replace him at the top. If he pops, I know it’s my job to space the floor, whether that’s cutting or spacing all the way to the corner.
“Can’t give you too much, but it’s great to have all three of us aggressive on that end of the floor and can all shoot and can all create for one another. It makes it difficult for the defense, for sure.”
