Former Celtics head coach Ime Udoka who was suspended for the entire 2022-2023 season by Boston for a relationship with a female staff member could make a return to the NBA.

It became clear that he will not returning to Boston after this season ends as the team promoted interim coach Joe Mazzulla to a permanent position.

Recently the Hawks waived head coach Nate McMillan and are looking for a replacement. According to Marc Stein, Atlanta is considering Udoka as a candidate to take McMillan’s position.

Among the candidates also are ex-Jazz coach Quin Snyder and Bucks assistant coach Charles Lee.
