Russell Westbrook will stay in Los Angeles, despite getting traded to Utah by the Lakers. The 34-year-old point guard made up his mind about his future and decided not to play for the Jazz.

NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the former NBA MVP agreed to a buyout with Utah and plans to sign with the Clippers, which was reported to be one of the front runners to land the player.

Paul George has publicly expressed support to Russ, who was his teammate in Oklahoma City.

This season Westbrook has averaged 15.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 7.5 assists in 28.7 minutes per game for the Lakers.
