NBA insiders Brian Windhorst and Darren Wolfson talked about the Minnesota Timberwolves guard D’Angelo Russell, who is set to hit free agency in the 2023 offseason, during a recent podcast episode.

“I have not heard any discussion of him getting an extension,” Windhorst said.

Wolfson chimed in.

“Well, I think (Russell’s) representation has reached out to the Wolves, but it doesn’t seem like it’s being reciprocated,” Wolfson said.

Last season, Russell averaged 18.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 7.1 assists per game while shooting 41.1 percent from the floor and 34.0 percent from deep.
