Golden State Warriors vs Portland Trail Blazers

Having secured their seventh NBA championship in June, the Golden State Warriors will continue to prepare for the 2022/23 season with a clash against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Trail Blazers failed to qualify for the playoffs last time around and they have not had the best start to preseason, losing all three matches so far.

By contrast, the Warriors have won two of their three preseason fixtures, with Steph Curry top scoring with 17 points in a 104-95 victory over the Washington Wizards last weekend.

Toronto Raptors vs Boston Celtics

Boston Celtics were the side the Warriors beat in last season’s NBA final, but a rejuvenated Celtics side look set to compete for the championship once more this term.

Jaylen Brown has shone for the Celtics in preseason so far, scoring 66 points across their trio of outings, with the 25-year-old eyeing up another haul against the Toronto Raptors this week.

For the Raptors, they have already beaten the Celtics in this preseason run, with the pair set to face off once more on Friday evening.

Los Angeles Clippers vs Denver Nuggets

Behind the Celtics and the Warriors, the Los Angeles Clippers are the team being tipped to challenge for the NBA title and they’ll finalise their 2022/23 season plans with a clash against the Denver Nuggets.

The Clippers begin their campaign against the Los Angeles Lakers, after what has been a mixed preseason so far, with victory against the Trail Blazers followed up with defeat to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

John Wall netted 20 points for the Clippers in last week’s preseason defeat to the Timberwolves, with the 32-year-old likely crucial to the Los Angeles outfit’s hopes this season.
