For the second time this season, Russell Westbrook had to watch from the bench his team play the final minutes of the game. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel decided not to use his superstar point guard in overtime against the Knicks.

The decision was a result of a poor game by Russ who scored just five points on a 1/10 shooting. Unlike the previous time, Westbrook addressed the media and talked about being benched.

“When I play bad, you guys ask me a s–t ton of questions. And then when I shoot the ball well, I don’t hear too many of those questions. … We won the game and that’s the most important part,” he said postgame, per ESPN.

This season, Westbrook is averaging 18.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game for Los Angeles.
