Bradley Beal will not be available for the Washington Wizards’ game vs. the Pelicans, the team announced Sunday. Beal will miss the game due to personal reasons.

Beal will be absent on Monday as he continues to grieve the loss of his maternal grandmother. Aaron Holiday and Raul Neto will likely get more minutes in the backcourt alongside Spencer Dinwiddie.

Washington will be looking for their fifth straight victory on Monday against the Pelicans, who won only their second game of the season on Saturday.

The Wizards have started the season strong, leading the Eastern Conference with the best record (9-3). They are hoping to continue their hot streak of form, even without Bradley Beal.
