In a stunning return to Washington, Bradley Beal unleashed a scoring barrage with a season-high 43 points, leading the Phoenix Suns (29-21) to a commanding 140-112 rout against his former team, the Wizards (9-40).

Beal, who spent 11 seasons with the Wizards before joining the Suns in the offseason, was greeted with a heartfelt video tribute and a standing ovation during pre-game introductions.

Phoenix’s supporting cast contributed significantly, with Kevin Durant and Jusuf Nurkic both scoring 18 points, while Devin Booker added 14.

For the Wizards, Deni Avdija led the way with 24 points, but the absence of Kyle Kuzma due to left shoulder soreness hampered their efforts.

The Suns bounced back convincingly from a recent loss to Atlanta. Although the Wizards couldn’t contain Phoenix’s stars, they managed to shoot efficiently themselves.
