Philadelphia 76ers have ruled out Ben Simmons for the season opener vs the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday.
The Sixers have suspended Simmons for conduct detrimental to the team, Philadelphia announced.
Ben Simmons returned to practice a few days ago, after refusing to join the training camp.
The young guard has requested a trade from the Sixers, yet there is no progress in talks.
Simmons could be available for the home game against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday.
