Fenerbahce big man Danilo Barthel will remain out of action for the next three weeks at least, the team announced.
The German power forward/center underwent arthroscopic surgery in his knee and will make a full recovery. An evaluation will take place in three weeks.
Barthel will miss several games in the EuroLeague and the Turkish League. Depending on the timeline of his absence, Fenerbahce could search for his replacement.
Without Barthel on the roster, Fenerbahce suffered a heavy loss to ALBA Berlin on Tuesday (84-70). The Turks are at 1-2 in the standings, having lost two straight.
