Talen Horton-Tucker underwent successful surgery in his right thumb and will be out of action for at least one month.
According to the Los Angeles Lakers, Horton-Tucker will make a full and complete recovery. An evaluation of his rehabilitation will take place in four weeks.
Talen Horton-Tucker is the second Lakers player that will miss significant time due to injury. Trevor Ariza will not be available for the next eight weeks with a right ankle injury.
The multiple time NBA champions will tip off the season next Tuesday, October 19. Los Angeles will host the Golden State Warriors at Staples Center.
