According to Marc Stein of Substack, the Los Angeles Lakers’ talks with the Sacramento Kings on a potential deal headlined by Buddy Hield and Kyle Kuzma are the most serious so far. The San Antonio Spurs are also believed to have an interest in Kuzma in possible sign-and-trade scenarios involving free-agent-to-be DeMar DeRozan.

Hield, 28, averaged 16.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.6 assists last season. He shot 40.6% from the field and 39.1% from the 3-point range. Meanwhile, Kuzma, 26, averaged 12.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.9 assists while shooting at 44.3% from the floor and 36.1% from deep.
