LeBron James sends the Lakers to the playoffs with insane three-pointer

LeBron James hit an insane three-pointer late in the fourth quarter and helped the Lakers defeat the Warriors (100-103) and clinch a playoff spot.

In a late thriller at Staples Center, James’ three-pointer decided the outcome of the game, as the Warriors missed consecutive chances to force an overtime. The defending champions trailed by 13 at halftime (55-42), but outscored Golden State 61-45 in the second half to win the contest.

The superstar of the Lakers posted a triple-double with 22 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Four more players scored in double figures for the winners. On the other hand, Stephen Curry had 37 points (12/23 shooting, 6/9 from beyond the arc) for Golden State.

Following their victory, the Lakers advanced to the postseason and will now go on to play the Phoenix Suns in the first round. Game 1 will take place on Sunday.

For their part, the Warriors will face the Memphis Grizzlies for the eighth place in the West on Friday, with the winner battling the top-seeded Utah Jazz.
