The Dallas Mavericks earned an important win for their quest of finishing among the top six teams in the Western Conference and direct qualification to the playoffs as they defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 115-110.
Luka Doncic, who had 30 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners, stressed the importance for this team to stay focused on every game and not to relax.
“We just got to play hard every game,” the Slovenian star said postgame. “We got to come out every game as we did tonight, playing hard, trying to dunk everything. We just got to come out every game.”
“We’re just trying to get into the playoffs. No matter how, we’re trying not to play in the Play-In Tournament. So we’re trying keep moving up [in the standings].”
The Mavs are currently in the seventh place in the Western Conference which would give them a spot in the Play-In Tournament. Dallas is very close to climbing up as it shares the same record (32-26) with the sixth-placed Trail Blazers.
