Memphis Grizzlies big man Jaren Jackson Jr. has been upgraded to questionable for Wednesday’s game, the team announced.

This is the first time that Jackson has been listed as questionable after he has been listed as either out or doubtful.

When he ultimately returns to game action, Jackson will be on a minutes limit.

The 21-year-old has not played this season after recovering from meniscus surgery.

Jackson suffered a torn meniscus on Aug. 3, 2020 during the NBA season restart in the Orlando bubble.

“He’s going to be out tonight, but he’s getting close,” Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins said on April 19. “That’s all I can really say right now. It’s day by day right now in terms of how he’s progressing. For us, we’re not going to throw him immediately into the fire and playing a heavy load. We will be smart about his minutes and his integration.”
