Jaren Jackson Jr. led the Memphis Grizzlies to a 116–110 road victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center on Wednesday, posting 28 points and 12 rebounds in a balanced team effort.
Jock Landale added 20 points and 10 boards, while Jaylen Wells contributed 17 points as Memphis overcame the absence of Ja Morant to claim its fourth win in five games.
Cedric Coward scored 13 points and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 12, with Santi Aldama hauling in 11 rebounds to help the Grizzlies control the glass. Brandon Clarke made his season debut after knee surgery, recording six points and three rebounds in limited minutes. Memphis shot 44% from the field and 32% from three-point range but made 21 of 25 free throws, converting key opportunities down the stretch.
Minnesota relied on Julius Randle, who scored 21 points with five rebounds, and Donte DiVincenzo, who added 19 points and 11 boards. Rudy Gobert posted a double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds, while Naz Reid chipped in 16 points. The Timberwolves were without Anthony Edwards for a third straight game, impacting their scoring balance.
The game remained close in the final minutes, with Memphis holding a narrow 106–103 lead when Landale drained his fourth three-pointer of the night. After a missed shot by Reid, Jackson hit a floater with 47 seconds remaining to seal the win.
Earlier, a 14–2 run midway through the third quarter, featuring contributions from six Grizzlies including Landale, Caldwell-Pope, and Jackson, helped turn a 76–67 deficit into an 81–76 advantage.
Memphis improved to 13–14 with the win and will host Washington on Saturday, while Minnesota fell to 17–10 and will return home to face Oklahoma City on Friday.
