The Memphis Grizzlies released several key medical updates as the team prepares for the 2025–26 NBA season.

Forward Brandon Clarke has fully recovered from the right PCL sprain he sustained in March. However, he developed right knee synovitis during offseason training and have undergone an arthroscopic procedure. A full recovery is expected, with a return timeline to be announced after surgery.

Rookie wing Cedric Coward has completed rehabilitation on the left shoulder injury that sidelined him last season at Washington State. He is on track to participate fully in training camp.

Center Zach Edey, who had left ankle surgery on June 7, has been cleared to resume basketball activities. The 7-foot-4 rookie is projected to return to game action within 6–9 weeks.

All-Star forward Jaren Jackson Jr. is also progressing. After undergoing a procedure for turf toe on July 2, he has been cleared to ramp up workouts and is expected back in 4–6 weeks.

These updates come as Memphis enters a new era under head coach Tuomas Iisalo. The Grizzlies are looking to rebound from consecutive seasons disrupted by injuries, which heavily impacted their depth and consistency.

The frontcourt remains a focal point for the franchise, with Clarke, Jackson Jr., and Edey projected to play significant roles alongside veteran Jock Landale and young forward GG Jackson. Ensuring their health will be critical as Memphis pushes toward a playoff return.

Ja Morant, returning as the centerpiece of the backcourt, will have added support with offseason acquisitions and a refreshed rotation.
