The chance of the Los Angeles Lakers signing Giannis Antetokounmpo is basically down to zero after LeBron James signed his two-year max extension with the defending NBA champions, Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report writes.

LeBron’s extension is worth $85 million and will not leave enough cap space for the Lakers to land the reigning NBA MVP. While there may be theoretical possibilities to free enough cap space, they are highly unlikely. For example, Anthony Davis would have to cut $10 million off of his contract.

Giannis recently said in an interview that if LeBron and AD want to join him at the Milwaukee Bucks, he would be happy to have them as teammates.
