The Miami Heat are interested in signing Wesley Matthews, according to Greg Sylvander of 5 Reason Sports.

Matthews, who spent the previous season with the Milwaukee Bucks, has a player option for next season, worth $2.7M.

Matthews is a decent on and off-ball defender and can fit well to Erik Spoelstra’s (Heat head coach) defensive tactics.

The veteran guard averaged 7.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists last season.
