Another arena has emerged as candidate to host the Toronto Raptors for the 2020/21 NBA season, per Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News.

This time, it is Newark, New Jersey’s Prudential Center, that is considered a top candidate for Toronto.

“The Raptors have spoken to the operators of the Prudential Center about using their 19,500-seat arena, according to a source. It’s one of a few options for Masai Ujiri’s squad, and a preference for the NBA because of its close proximity to all of Toronto’s division foes,” Bondy reports.

The Raptors can’t play their games in Toronto, as American players are not allowed to travel across the border into Canada, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Therefore, they have to find a temporary home within the United States.
