LeBron James led the Los Angeles Lakers to their 18th title and first in ten years, since Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol beat the Boston Celtics in the 2010 NBA Finals.

The Lakers’ general manager Rob Pelinka joined “The Woj Pod” with Adrian Wojnarowski and spoke of the similarities between Kobe and LeBron.

(via SB Nation):

“What’s interesting about both of those players, LeBron and Kobe, is neither of them, I think, were satisfied or had as a goal, scoring. I mean, both LeBron and Kobe, are only about one thing and that’s winning titles. And the similarities in their approach of just being maniacal about doing whatever it takes to win championships, is everything to both of those guys.”

James’ work ethic is similar to Bryant as both are generational talents, who left their mark in the league all these years. The 2020 Finals MVP has the chance to win more titles with the Lakers and continue Bryant’s legacy in the Lakeland, after the tragic passing of the Lakers’ legend last January.

Here you can listen Rob Pelinka’s interview on Woj Pod discussing the Lakers’ title in Orlando and the upcoming offseason.
